Scorpions, the legendary German band, is setting out on a tour to perform in the largest halls and at stadiums across the globe. The band will hold its concert of 15 March 2010 in O2 arena, Prague, as part of its tour called “Get Your Sting And Blackout World Tour 2010”, in which it will present the greatest hits of its longer than 30-year music career.

One World is an international human rights documentary film festival. One World film festivals take place in many countries around the world, and run throughout the year. The Prague One World film festival features many thought provoking documentaries, submitted often by lesser known film producers.

The oldest reference to St. Mathew’s fair dates back to the 16th century. It is one of the best known and most popular fairs in the Czech Republic, and is the first spring fair in Europe. There are around 130 rides and attractions, from swing sets to bumper cars and shooting galleries. Longstanding favourites include the Loch Ness, a large carousel in the shape of the legendary monster, and a roller coaster that runs over water

The Prague International Marathon takes place on the Sunday, but the build up includes a weekend of activities. There are fun runs open to everyone, a 10km city run, a 4.2km family run for children and their parents and a 4.2km corporate run. More than 20,000 runners are expected to participate.

Rock legends KISS are set to bring their new “Sonic Boom Over Europe: From the Beginning To the Boom” tour to Europe in Summer 2010. With over 80 million album sales worldwide, KISS remain one of the most iconic and influential rock bands of all time. Throughout their stellar 35 year career KISS have established themselves as one of the great live rock bands.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of communism, this 'Be Free' exhibition, which began in 2009, casts light on the atmosphere in Czechoslovakia from the 1950s-1989. It examines the dissemination of free information and propaganda, and presents diverse views on the events and spirit of the era.
The exhibition takes places in the new building of the National Museum, located to the left of the original National Museum.
